Severnside is a market leading recycling company.
From our humble beginnings we have continually grown and evolved
to become not only the largest recoverer and reprocessor of
post consumer packaging in the UK, but also a major provider
of complete recycling and waste management services. As well
as an expanding nation-wide estate of Recycling Facilities
we have also developed a comprehensive network of recycling
and waste disposal partners, which means services under the
Severnside banner can be offered anywhere in the UK. Annually
we recover circa 1.8 million tonnes of recyclable material,
800 000 tonnes of that through our own locations. With a commitment
to increase the number of our own Recycling Facilities, as
well as forging even greater working partnerships, that amount
is set to grow year on year.
Today, Severnside provides
integrated recycling and waste management solutions for
some of the UK’s leading public and private sector organisations.
Key to our business practice remains the need to supply our
parent company, St. Regis Paper Company Ltd, with the raw
materials that their mills require. This ensures that we have
a ready market for all the paper and packaging that we collect,
whilst we continue to source new and ethically sound markets
for a wide range of other recyclable materials. Most waste
streams, once all the recyclate has been removed, are inevitably
left with a residual waste. We will apply the same quality
assured standards to the safe, prompt and efficient removal
of your waste as we do to the removal of your recyclate.
Our Parent company, St Regis, are the largest
paper manufacturers in the UK and form part of DS Smith PLC
– a multinational group concerned with the production
of packaging and paper, as well as the distribution
of office products. The Group’s packaging operations
are fibre or polymer based and its paper operations use recycled
waste paper for the majority of their raw material. All this
makes Severnside part of the largest integrated paper and
packaging company in the UK - providing a ready market for
the recyclate we recover.
