Around 85% of total St Regis sales are corrugated case materials
(CCM) with the company clearly established as the UK market
leader and in the top 5 in Europe. The CCM range includes:
Trident (testliner2), testliner3, chip, Optima (white top
testliner), mottle top testliner, Primaflute (semi-chemical
fluting) and waste based fluting.
In addition to the core business, St Regis also
manufactures a wide range of speciality paper and board for
both industry and consumers, supplying independent converters
around the world in a number of important markets. Lightweight
coreboard, plasterboard liner, recycled envelope papers, educational
sugar papers, coloured file and folder, roofing felt and imitation
kraftliner, shoeboard, fibreboard and upholstery panels.
In each of these markets, St Regis mills continue
to invest in efficient manufacturing systems to ensure consistent
product runnability and high standards of service. This is
supported by fast expert technical support from people who
understand each convertor’s needs.
The supply of raw materials to the paper mills
is guaranteed through its recycling company Severnside Recycling,
whilst the delivery of finished reels to consumers is assured
through the ownership of
AAG Distribution.
The five St Regis mills producing corrugated
case materials have a combined production capacity approaching
900 000 tonnes per annum. Producing papers for every corrugated
requirement, St Regis can assist convertors to maximise their
effectiveness and help define the most cost efficient case
construction possible.
Advances in paper technology and improvement
in fibre sourcing have greatly enhanced the performance of
recycled grades. The ability to produce papers of consistently
high quality with superior runnability means that St Regis’
range of papers are viable alternatives to more expensive
virgin grades.
Through consultation with customers and continuous
innovation, St Regis is working to improve the existing range,
develop new products for the future and provide the high quality
raw materials required by the industry.
